1Password

1Password is a password manager developed by AgileBits Inc. It provides a place for users to store various passwords, software licenses, and other sensitive information in a virtual vault that is locked with a heavily-guarded master password, By default, this vault is stored on the company's servers, for a monthly fee, but it is also possible to store the vault on Dropbox, iCloud, or locally on a device.

1Password integrates with popular desktop web browsers like Safari, Firefox, and Chrome. The 1Password extension can remember logins for websites, fill in website logins automatically, and generate random passwords for new websites.

MacAtoZ uses and recommends 1Password as a way to help keep your information secure. In a typical scenario, one of our Apple consultants will spend about an hour, either on site or remotely, setting up 1Password on a Mac and teaching you how to use it. After that initial set up and training, most users are able to maintain and use their secure 1Password vault with no further training and perhaps only an occasional question or two.

Clients interested in setting up an appointment for 1Password installation and training should contact us at 503-507-0410 or support@macatoz.com
